This Points of Interest list for Days Gone offers a concise overview of all map markers placed on interactive maps designed specifically for the game. It acts as a central hub, enabling players to navigate the game world efficiently and effectively.
Ambush Camps are places overrun by bandits. You must eliminate all the enemies in the area and then find the entrance to the underground bunker, open it, climb down the ladder to the bottom and examine the map you find there. When you do so, some points of interest such as historical markers will be marked on your map. You may also receive a recipe that will teach you how to craft a certain item.
Anarchist CairnsThe Anarchist Cairns can be found at the top of cliffs overlooking a valley below them or near lakes or rivers. There are over 12 of these in the game, but you only need to destroy 12 of them to earn the "Go Kick Rocks" achievement / trophy.
Bunker EntrancesLocations of bunker manholes that you must find after clearing the camp of bandits.
CharactersCharacters are a type of collectible that can be found in Days Gone. These are different types of items related to NPCs that you will meet during your adventure. Most of them you will find in the encampments, some of them will be available only after you reach a certain stage of the game, for example in buildings which you will not be able to enter before.
Crier Infestation NestsNests of infected birds that you must burn. There are 42 of them in total.
EncampmentsCamps are places where people who have managed to survive settle down. These are safe zones and you will find all kinds of merchants where you can, for example, sell your trophies, buy weapons, repair and refuel your motorcycle or buy new parts for it, sell meat and herbs, or talk to the leader of the camp from whom you can receive new tasks to complete.
FuelPlaces where gas stations are located.
HerbologyIn Days Gone, you can collect a total of 33 different plants. Some of them are only found in certain regions, while others can be found in several regions. Of course, there are many places where you can find these plants, but I have only marked the places where I personally collected a particular plant for the first time.
Historical MarkersHistorical Markers are a type of collectible that can be found in Days Gone. These are usually metal plaques placed on rocks, buildings, boards, statues, etc. Nearby markers will get revealed on your map when you clear one of the Ambush Camps and find a map there. To score them, you need to approach and interact with them.
Horde LairsPlaces where hordes stay during the day. In most cases these are larger or smaller caves.
InfestationsInfestations must be cleared to allow fast travel through the area in which they occur. To clear the infestation zone, you must destroy all the nests in the area.
Infestation NestsPlaces where you can find the Freaker nests. You must burn all the nests located in a particular area.
IPCA TechYou will find the IPCA Tech pieces in the corpses of NERO scientists or soldiers that you can find in the NERO camps or in their immediate vicinity. Collecting all 18 pieces is required to craft an Unknown NERO Weapon (IPCA Stun Gun). You will unlock the recipe by unlocking the hidden ending of the game.
NERO CheckpointsNERO Checkpoint MMUs contain NERO Injectors used to improve your Health, Stamina, or Focus. Once cleared, a Checkpoint becomes a Fast Travel Waypoint. You'll also find a piece of NERO Intel at each of these locations and the corpse of a NERO member nearby, containing another piece of IPCA Tech.
NERO InjectorsNERO Injectors can be found inside NERO Mobile Medical Units at NERO Checkpoints. Use them to permanently increase your Health, Stamina, or Focus. You will always find them in the large white containers. A total of 30 injectors are available, and you can boost each of the three stats up to ten times.
NERO IntelNERO Intel is one type of collectible item available in Days Gone. These are generally various audio recordings left by NERO scientists, but sometimes they can be text notes. Some of them you get automatically as you progress through the game's storyline, and others you can find mostly at NERO Checkpoints or NERO Research Sites. A few of them are also left in other places.
NERO Research SitesNERO Research Sites are are places where you will find NERO Injectors and NERO Intel pieces. These are generally located in places where you will have to accelerate and jump on your bike to get to. So you will have to upgrade it properly, for example by installing nitro.

SafehousesExcept O'Leary Mountain, before you can use them you must first clear the nearby ambush camp or get inside the NERO mobile medical unit and grab the NERO Injector. Once you do this you can use the option to fast travel to these places or can also sleep here to advance time.
TourismTourism items are a type of collectible items that can be found in Days Gone. For example, they can be photos, brochures, notes, etc., which can usually be found in places visited by tourists.
