Visiting Hours Red Dead Redemption 2 Mission

In order to start this mission you must complete the Icarus and Friends mission and then go to Copperhead Landing. At the marina you will meet Sadie and Abigail talking to each other.

Sadie asked you to meet her at Copperhead Landing to take a boat over to Sisika Penitentiary and rescue John.

Abigail wants to go with you but neither Sadie nor Arthur will agree and only two of you will get on the boat.

Arthur and Sadie row to Sisika Island to break John out of prison.

Gold Medal Checklist

  • Get headshots on both Prison Guards when sniping from the tower
  • Escape to the boat within 2 minutes 45 seconds
  • Complete within 9 minutes
  • Complete with at least 80% accuracy
  • Complete the mission without taking any health items

To begin Visiting Hours you must first complete Icarus and Friends.

Objectives of Visiting Hours

1. Row the boat to Sisika Island

The game will cover most of the way for you and you will end up on the beach near the prison grounds.

2. Go to the watch tower / Take out the guard

Stay low and go to the watch tower.

Climb up the ladder and take the guard out with a stealth kill.

3. Pick up the rifle / Look for John / Eliminate the guards

Pick up a sniper rifle dropped by a guard or use your own if you have one.

Use the sniper rifle scope and look to the south where the chain gang works in the fields next to the big barn.

Prisoners are guarded by two guards. To get the gold medal you need to headshoot both guards when sniping from the tower. Activate Dead Eye, line up a headshot on first guard, and shoot. Immediately activate Dead Eye and snipe the second guard quickly.

4. Investigate the field

Go down and run with Sadie to the place where prisoners were working.

When you get there, Sadie will start questioning the guard who's still alive and you will find out that John did not work there today. While she is questioning the guard, another guard sneaks up and points a gun at her. But, Arthur is there, points his gun at him, and takes him hostage.

5. Approach the prison

Take your hostage to the prison gates as quickly as possible. Sadie will disarm any other guards that you encounter along the way.

Arthur will offer a trade of John Marston for his guard hostage.

A few moments later they will bring John out.

John and Sadie will take cover behind the crates near the bridge and the shooting will begin.

6. Stick with Sadie and John / Provide covering fire for S&J / Catch up to S&J / Escort S&J to the rowboat

If you want to earn the gold medal then you have to escape to the boat within 2 minutes and 45 seconds. The goal is to reduce stopping to the minimum necessary to eliminate enemies. You should be running towards the boat at all other times.

Take cover behind nearby crates and as fast as possible eliminate the guards standing on the walls and those who run outside of the prison. This will allow Sadie and John to start running to the other side of the bridge.

Then you can cross the bridge yourself. Take cover on the other side and shoot at the incoming guards.

When Sadie and John start running, run after them. Watch out for riders coming from the barn side, activate Dead Eye and try to kill a few while runing.

Soon, you'll have to stop for a while, take cover and eliminate a few more guards.

But as soon as Sadie and John move, keep running with them towards the boat.

7. Fend off the attackers

When you get on the boat, Sadie will row and you will have to take care of the guards who shoot at you from the shore.

8. Mount your horse / Follow Sadie to Beaver Hollow

When you dock at the shore, get on your horse and follow Sadie to your camp at Beaver Hollow. On the way, Arthur will brief John on recent events.

Upon arrival at the camp, Dutch will not be happy with John's return because his release has now caused your entire gang to be wanted dead or alive, which is not good for his plan.

After completing Visiting Hours you will get or will be able to get Just a Social Call.
