The Veteran Red Dead Redemption 2 Mission

To start this mission, you need to find and talk to Hamish Sinclair, the war veteran you will find sitting by the rock. He will ask you to help him recover his horse and the prosthetic leg he lost after the horse got spooked by the snake.
An old outdoors man and war veteran is thrown from his horse and has it recovered for him.

Objectives of The Veteran
1. Search nearby for Buell
You'll find a spooked horse near the lake.
2. Calm and lead Buell
Slowly come to the horse, calm it down, and when possible grab the reins.
3. Return Buell to the veteran
Return the horse to the veteran. Once Buell is returned, Hamish will tell you that you can visit him one day and go fishing with him.
Hamish invited you to go fishing with him at his cabin near O'Creagh's Run.
4. Part II
One day later you will be able to visit Hamish at his homestead on the northeastern side of the lake.
Hamish takes his new friend fishing, entering an epic battle with a giant northern pike known as The Great Tyrant.
Together you will go fishing to catch a big fish called the great tyrant.
When you get on the boat, Hamish will give you one of his baits that will allow you to catch the tyrant.
5. Row to the fishing spot
Row to the marked spot.
6. Catch the legendary northern pike
Equip the correct lure which Hamish gave you - the Special Lake Lure and and cast the fishing rod.
The tyrant will take the bait on the Hamish's fishing rod. The fish will be big enough to drag Hamish into the water.
7. Row to Hamish
Row to Hamish and pick him up. Hamish lost his fishing rod.
8. Row to the fishing spot / Catch the legendary northern spike
Row to the new fishing spot. As Hamish lost his fishing rod, this time you'll be fishing alone. Cast the rod and after a while you should catch the tyrant.
Hamish will help you with the fish ...
... and then you will go back to shore where Arthur will pass the fish to Hamish.
Before you leave, Hamish will invite you to visit him again and go hunting with him.
9. Part III
When you will be able to visit Hamish again in a while, he will tell you about the wolf stalking him. Together you will go hunting.
Hamish and his friend attempt to track a wolf, only to encounter more than they bargained for.
10. Mount your horse / Follow Hamish / Answer Hamish / Follow the tracks
Follow Hamish all the time. On the way you will get off your horses for a while to examine the deer carcass and eventually you will reach the scrub and you will have to continue on foot. You can choose who you want to look for the traces of the wolf, you or Hamish.
Follow Hamish or look for traces yourself and after a while you will reach a cliff and you will spot a wolf.
11. Get closer to the wolf / Fight the wolves
Approach the wolf and shoot it. A second later, you will be attacked by three more wolves that you will also have to shoot.
When you kill those wolves and you both think it's over, suddenly an alpha wolf will jump out of the bushes and attack you. It will knock you to the ground. In order not to get killed, mash the button to free yourself. And when you do, shoot the wolf a few times to kill it.
Hamish will skin the wolf and give you this skin and then you will part.
12. Part IV
The next time you visit Hamish in his cabin, a huge wild boar will appear nearby and Hamish will try to shoot him. He will miss and the wild boar will start to run away.
A huge wild boar is sighted near Hamish's cabin, and a hunt begins.
13. Kill the boar / Search the area for signs of the boar / Follow the boar tracks
Chase the wild boar, but you won't be able to kill him now. It's fast and it'll get away from you.
Look for wild boar tracks and follow them. After a while you'll meet Hamish who brought your horse.
14. Follow the boar tracks with Hamish
Follow Hamish. A little further the trail will split and you will also split up to check both trails.
15. Search the area for signs of the boar / Inspect the wolf carcass
Go up the hill and check the wolf carcass you'll find there. When you do this, you should hear the gunshots.
16. Investigate the gunshots / Check on Hamish / Kill the boar
Go in the direction the gunshots came from. After a while you should see the wild boar chasing Hamish.
Follow them and after a while you'll find Hamish lying on the ground. He fell off his horse and the wild boar dealt him fatal wounds. Before he dies, Hamish will ask you to take care of his horse.
It's not over yet. A wild boar will appear nearby and start charging at you. You have to shoot him before he can reach you.
Mount Hamish's horse and your honor will rise a little.
