Outlaws From the West Red Dead Redemption 2 Mission

This is the first storyline mission in Red Dead Redemption 2. After finding a shelter in an abandoned mining village, you and Dutch head out in search of supplies and two other gang members who went on scouting a little earlier.

Half frozen, close to death, and on the run, the gang find shelter in an old abandoned mining town. Dutch, Arthur and Micah head out to look for supplies.

  • Loot 6 or more items from Adler Ranch
  • Complete with at least 80% accuracy

Objectives of Outlaws From the West

1. Follow Dutch

Follow Dutch on your horse until you meet Micah, who will tell you about a little homestead ahead.

4. Follow Dutch / Go to the shed and take cover

Dutch will call the people in the house and start talking to them. Soon after that, Micah will find the body in the wagon, which means trouble.

5. Protect Dutch

When prompted, select and equip your Cattleman Revolver from the weapon wheel, then draw your weapon and start shooting. When you shoot, Dutch and Micah will start shooting, too.

To get the gold medal in this mission you cannot take any damage during this shootout and you have to complete it with at least 80% accuracy. Stay behind the cover between the shots and shoot only if you are sure you will hit your opponent.

6. Follow Dutch / Search the house

Once the fight is over, Dutch will call you to search the house. There are several items to collect at home. Look for them on the shelves and tables. Search the cabinets. You can use the ladder to climb up to the upper floor. To get the gold medal in this mission you must pick up at least six items.

7. Join Dutch outside after searching the house

When you've done the house search, go outside.

8. Investigate the barn

Dutch will ask you to search the nearby barn. Go there, open the door and get inside.

9. Attack the O'Driscoll

When you get inside, you'll be unexpectedly attacked by the last of the gang members. You have to defeat your opponent in a fistfight.

10. Grab / Interrogate / Deal with the O'Driscoll

You need to get information from him. Ask him and hit him if necessary. At the end, after you get the information, you have to decide what to do with him: kill him or let him go.

11. Pick up your gun / Pick up your hat

Pick up your gun and hat. Both items are lying on the ground.

12. Focus on / Calm / Approach / Pat / Lead the horse

You need to handle a skittish horse (Horse Bonding). Slowly come to the horse, calm it down, pat it, then grab the reins and take it out of the stable.

13. Lead the horse to the hitching post

Come with the horse to the place where the rest of your horses stand. When you do this, you will hear the noise coming from inside the house.

14. Investigate the noise inside the house

Enter the house and you'll see a cutscene introducing Mrs. Sadie Adler.

The house will burn down and you, Dutch, Micah and Sadie will head back to your camp.

When you return to the rest of the gang, this mission will end and the next one will automatically start.

After completing Outlaws From the West you will get or will be able to get Enter, Pursued by a Memory.
