After completing the Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor mission, you will receive another letter from Mary. You will find this letter on the table in your room in Shady Belle.
Arthur receives a second letter from Mary Linton.
After reading the letter, go to the Grand Hotel in Saint Denis and meet Mery.
She'll ask you to help her with her father, which will make Arthur very annoyed. You have to make a decision whether to help her or not. If you want to earn the gold medal then you must agree to help her otherwise the mission will end.
Mary asks Arthur for help with her father, who has become consumed by a gambling addiction. Arthur must retrieve a valuable family heirloom Mary's father has sold off.

- Catch the wagon and take it to the secluded spot within 1 minute and 45 seconds
- Take Mary to the theater
Objectives of Fatherhood and Other Dreams
1. Head to the stables / Meet Mary at the stables
Ride together with Mery to the stables as it is there, according to Mery, where her father is currently staying.
When you get there, Mery will enter the building to see what her father's doing and you'll wait outside.
After a while, Mery and her father will go outside. Her father will not want to talk to her anymore and will go his way.
2. Follow Mr. Gillis
Follow Mr. Gillis but don't get too close to him to not be noticed by him.
Finally, you will reach the place where Mery's father will meet some guy and sell him a family heirloom, which is in fact Mery's property.
3. Catch up with the Buyer
Mary's pissed off and confronts her father. Arthur decides to recover the brooch and starts going after the buyer.
Get to the street. When you do this, you will see the buyer getting on the stage, which after a while sets off on the road.
4. Chase after the wagon / Jump onto the wagon / Get into the drivers seat / Drive to a secluded spot
Run towards the stagecoach, get on a horse hitched to a street lantern and follow the stagecoach. If you want to get the gold medal, you only have 1 minute and 45 seconds to catch up with the coach, take over of it and then drive it to a secluded place.
Try to catch up with the stagecoach. As soon as the stagecoach passes the blue bridge, it will reach a crossroads where it will take a hard right turn. You should cut the corner and then you should approach the stage at a distance from which you will be able to jump on the back of the stage.
Jump on the back of the stagecoach, move towards the drivers and take control of it by throwing the driver off the stagecoach.
When you take control of the stage as quickly as possible, drive it to the secluded place marked on the map. You don't have to take the route suggested by the game, you can take shortcuts.
5. Get Mary's brooch from the Buyer
Get of the wagon and pull the buyer off the stage. To get the brooch back you can buy it from the guy for $100. If you buy it for such a price, your honor meter will rise significantly.
You can also beat the guy and thus convince him to lower the price. Depending on how many times you hit him, he will sell you a brooch for $50, $25 or give it to you for free.
6. Return the brooch to Mary
Get back in the coach driver's seat and then Arthur will automatically head back to Saint Denis and return to Mery.
When Mary asks you to go to the theater with her, say yes. This way you will complete the second requirement to earn a gold medal in this mission.
Arthur and Mery will go to the theater to watch the show.
You can leave the theatre at any time and then the mission will end.
