This mission is the last story mission in Red Dead Redemption 2. To start it, go back to your home at the ranch. Abigail and Uncle sit by the fireplace and listen to Jack reading a book.
The idyll is interrupted by the arrival of Sadie Adler. Sadie has finally found Micah's trail. Despite Abigail's protest, John sets off with Charles and Sadie to deal with Micah once and for all.
Sadie has a clue that might lead them to Micah - Cleet has been sighted in Strawberry. Despite Abigail's protests, John, Sadie and Charles ride there to interrogate him and track down their old enemy.
Gold Medal Checklist
- Help Sadie catch Cleet within 35 seconds
- Headshot the sniper who shoots Charles
- Complete with at least 85% accuracy
- Complete the mission without taking any health items

To begin American Venom you must first complete A New Future Imagined.
Objectives of American Venom
1. Follow Sadie to Strawberry / Regroup with Sadie
Ride to Strawberry with Sadie and Charles. When you get there, you will stop in the centre of the town next to the bridge. Sadie will tell you and Charles to look for Cleet on the other side of the river.
2. Search for Cleet in Strawberry / Chase Cleet
If you want to get the gold medal then you have to help Sadie catch Cleet within 35 seconds. Head for the other side of the bridge, and you'll see Cleet leaving the post office building.
When he spots you, he'll start running away and try to lose you by running between the buildings across the street.
Keep chasing him and when you get near the jail, you'll see him knocked down by Sadie.
3. Beat up Cleet / Drag Cleet to the Gallows / Force Cleet up the stairs / Tie the noose round Cleet's neck / Threaten Cleet by moving the lever / Hang Cleet or leave him be
Come up to Cleet and start beating him up and kicking him. He won't want to say anything, so Sadie will come up with another idea to make him talk.
Drag him to the gallows and force him to go up the stairs then tie the noose round his neck.
Pull the lever gently and he will eventually tell you where you can find Micah.
Cleet will ask you not to kill him. If you spare him your honor will increase but a moment later he will die shot by Sadie anyway.
4. Mount your horse / Ride towards Mount Hagen / Follow Charles to Mount Hagen
Get on your horse and head north. After a while the custcence will begin during which you will reach the base of the mountain.
Charles has some idea where Micah may have his hideout, so go after him. But you won't get far as Charles will be shot by a sniper and fall off his horse. Sadie and John will get off their horses and take cover behind the nearby rocks.
5. Get into cover / Move from cover to cover with Sadie / Kill the sniper
Try to get closer to the sniper by moving from cover to cover.
Then take the headshot to fulfill one of the gold medal requirements.
6. Return to Charles
Return to Charles. He has been badly injured, but he insists that you continue to move forward and he will try to follow you only a little slower.
7. Follow Sadie / Continue up the mountain with Sadie
Follow Sadie uphill and eliminate more of Micah's goons along the way. Take your time. Use the covers to lose as little life as possible and maintain the high accuracy needed to earn the gold medal.
At some point, you'll both be ambushed. John can easily handle his attacker, but Sadie gets stabbed with a knife. Fortunately, she will be rescued by Charles, who managed to catch up with you.
Sadie and Charles need to rest so the rest of the way, you'll have to go alone.
8. Find Micah
Keep moving forward. On top of the hill you will meet Joe and two others. Use Dead Eye and kill them quickly.
Then go forward and eliminate the next Micah's companions who will attack you from different sides, also from behind. Take your time, aim accurately and try to avoid damage.
At some point, you will reach the camp at the top of the mountain. You have to check all the yellow areas marked on the map. Use crates, etc. as the covers and eliminate any enemies that appear.
Finally, you'll reach the old watchtower where you'll stand face to face with Micah.
9. Kill Micah
After a short conversation, you'll start shooting at each other. Stay in cover. Micah is very fast and you won't be able to shoot him effectively.
Shoot a few times and Micah should move to the left side near a small wooden building. Then Sadie will show up and she will point her gun at Micah.
When the situation seems to be under control, Dutch will come out of the watchtower. This will distract Sadie and Micah will be able to take her as a hostage.
You can point your gun at Dutch or Micah. Don't shoot, just talk to them!
Eventually Dutch will shoot Micah. Micah will try to shoot you with his last strength, so as soon as Dead Eye is activated and you can shoot, finish him off.
Dutch will leave without a word and John will find a chest full of gold and money in the watchtower.
Then, together with Sadie and Charles, he will return to the ranch to Abigail and Jack.
And that's the end of the main story. Watch the credits and a few more cutscenes relating to, among other things, the events from the first Red Dead Redemption game.
