To start this mission you need to talk to Avela Kjar near the Aya docks.

Search the Ancient starship cockpit and pickup Ancient angaran pilot's helmet.
She will be waiting for you in the Repository of History. To get there you need to complete Return with the Moshae to Aya objective of A Trail of Hope mission.
After completing this mission, you will be able to play the mission Forgotten History.
