To start this mission you should talk to Peebee on the Tempest about her secret project, she won't be very talkative. Some time later you will receive this mission automatically. I received this mission after landing on the planet Aya (planet Voeld unveiled?).

Read the email "Rem-Tech" from Peebee.
Thanks to that Remnant storage box from the Eos vault, all I need is one particular piece of rem-tech to complete my project. My scanner located what I need on Voeld.

Correct solution of the remnant decryption puzzle.
Go back to the Tempest and talk to Peebee.
Her apartment is on the upper floor of common area. Go there and knock on the door.
Remnant VI Unlocked
Peebee's research has unlocked the Remnant VI power. This power will allow Ryder to call upon "Zap", a controllable Remnant Observer.
You can find this power on the Tech Skills screen.
You need to complete Peebee: The Museum Trip mission and fix the kett transponder - complete objective "Speak to Gil in Tempest engineering" of Hunting the Archon mission.
After completing this mission, you will be able to play the mission Peebee: Remnant Scanner.
