Quest Group: Main Story
Year: 1932
Prerequisites: To play this mission, you must first complete the mission Better Get Used to It.
This mission begins with a meeting during which you will hear that the kid Paulie killed in the previous mission was the son of a city councilor. What is worse is that his companion survived. Salieri orders Sam to kill this boy during the funeral of the one who died, and your task will be to carry out a bombing attack in a nearby hotel, which should distract the police and help Sam in his task.
Achievement / Trophy: Murder in the House of God (Complete "The Saint and the Sinner")
Loose ends need to be tied at the Corleone Hotel and Ghillotti's funeral.
Go to Vincenzo's armory and take the bomb he prepared for you.
Go outside and get in the car where Sam is already waiting for you. Before you leave, Sam will ask you not to kill the girl you talked about during the meeting, but to convince her to disappear from town forever. He will even give you some money for her.
First drive Sam to the church and when he gets off there, keep going to the hotel.
Park in front of the hotel and go inside. You will be greeted by a bouncer. You can talk to other girls or the bartender to find out where you can find Michelle and the manager.
Your task is to convince Michelle to leave town, kill the manager and then plant the bomb in his office. The best order to do is to collect the magazine, comic book and cigarette card you can find in the hotel first, then talk to Michelle and finally kill the manager and get to his office.
A manager needs to die. One of his girls needs to leave town.
On the lowest floor of the hotel in a room in the southeastern corner you will find a "Dime Detective" magazine - Mexican Slayride (#13) (SM). The hotel boy, who is talking on the phone, can be easily taken from behind.
One floor upstairs, in room 104 you will find a cigarette card lying on the bed - Leo Galante (#14) (SM).
On the next floor, in the bathroom of room number 210 you will find a "Gangsters Monthly" comic book - Sarah: Moll on a Mission (#9) (SM). If you come across aggressive customers while searching the hotel, just beat them.
If you talk to other girls working at the hotel, or you will find a business card lying on one of the tables in the hotel, then you will learn that Michelle is in room 208. When you enter that room, Tommy will convince Michelle to leave town and give her the money he received from Sam.
You can find out where to find a manager by talking to the bartender. You can also go straight to the lounge, which is located on the lowest floor of the hotel. Prepare yourself that when you kill the manager, the shooting with his bodyguards will start and that you will have to proceed to the top floor of the hotel.
You must now get to the top floor of the hotel. On the way you will have to get rid of several opponents who will try to kill you.
When you get to the top floor, go through the side corridor to the orangery and when you kill the opponents you meet there, the road to the manager's office will be open for you.
When you enter the manager's office, take the documents and money you find there and then you will be able to plant a bomb under his desk.
Unfortunately, the police will appear in the hotel shortly after that and cut off your way back. Tommy will try to jump on the roof of the neighboring building. The explosion that will occur will "help" him a bit.
Get down to street level through St Michael's Church.
Quickly run ahead and find yourself a cover. Before you start climbing to the roof, get rid of the opponents that will show up in the windows of the hotel building.
Then go up the metal staircase and ladder to the roof of the building and run along.
A little further on, you will come across a few police officers who entered the roof. Get rid of them and keep moving forward towards the church.
Jump over the wall...
...and take the "Dime Detective" magazine lying on the table - The Lady's From Hades (#19) (SM).
Approach the ladder and use it to get to the other side.
Climb on the scaffolding, enter the church tower and descend to the very bottom of it. In the church there will be a funeral for the boy you killed.
Unfortunately, at some point you will be noticed by a boy who managed to survive and the shooting will start.
Tie up loose ends at Billy Ghillotti's funeral.
Get rid of the nearest opponents...
...and take the "Dime Detective" magazine lying on the side altar - Live and Let Die (#18) (SM).
Then go up the stairs to the upper gallery of the church. Kill the enemies that stand in your way.
Keep moving forward. You will reach the church pipe organ, then get to the gallery on the other side and finally go downstairs where you will be able to shoot Johnny.
When you talk to the priest about what just happened, you will find that the boy is still alive and he will point a gun at you. Fortunately, Sam will shoot him and save you at the last moment.
You will convince the priest not to tell the police too much and then you will head to the exit. Follow Sam towards the main door. Before you leave the church, take the cigarette card lying on a stone bench - Frank Vinci (#13) (SM).
More and more police will be gathering around the church. Quickly run out of the church, get in the hearse standing outside and drive away. Loose the cops and return to the Salieri's bar. It will end this mission.
After completing this mission, you will be able to play the mission A Trip to the Country.
