In Mafia: The Old Country, Charms are special passive upgrades for Enzo that improve his abilities in combat, stealth, health, and inventory management. They come in two main forms: Medallions and Beads.
- Medallions are more powerful and you can only equip one at a time. They provide stronger or more specialized effects, such as temporary invulnerability when near death, improved blade durability, or better handling of certain weapons and vehicles.
- Beads are the smaller and more common type, offering bonuses such as increased ammo capacity for different weapons, faster reloads, better stealth by reducing footstep noise, or improving the effectiveness of distractions.
At the start of the game, you can only equip one bead and one medallion, but as the story progresses, bead slots can be unlocked by purchasing upgrades from Pasquale's Store. This allows up to four beads to be active at once.
