Quest stages of Forging a Legend
1. Listen to the Blade of Bastet holotape
I've accepted the mission labeled "The Blade of Bastet." I should listen to the mission briefing for details.
2. Search Cryptos for a historic sword
Use the Cryptos Terminal > Log in: $UNKNOWN_USER > Database Queries > Novice | Historic Swords.

The Blade of Bastet is the Mistress' legendary sword. In order to make my own Blade, I first need to attach a swing analyzer to my sword. I can get one from the Fabricator.
4. Get a Swing Analyzer from the Fabricator
The Blade of Bastet is the Mistress' legendary sword. In order to make my own Blade, I need to find a historic sword and pick up a swing analyzer from the Fabricator.
Use the Fabricator Terminal > Fabrication Services > Novice | Swing Analyzer.

6. Acquire a Historic Sword
The Blade of Bastet is the Mistress' legendary sword. In order to make my own Blade, I need to find a historic sword and pick up a swing analyzer from the Fabricator.
Go to The Whitespring. In a building located north of The Whitespring Resort, find the display case in which the sword is located. It's locked.
Use the Presidential Cottage & Museum Terminal > STAFF ACCESS.
6.1. Find the terminal password
Go upstairs, locate the bathroom and take the holotape with Presidential Cottage Password.
There is another holotape with the password downstairs in the corpse of the Whitespring Docent robot.
Use the Presidential Cottage & Museum Terminal again > STAFF ACCESS > Display Case Access > Open Display Case. Take the sword.
7. Attach the Swing Analyzer to Grant's Saber
The Blade of Bastet is the Mistress' legendary sword. In order to forge my own, I need to attach the swing analyzer to the sword so it can collect data on my combat style.
You can use any Weapons Workbench.
8. Kill different types of creatures with Grant's Saber (x/6)
The Blade of Bastet is the Mistress' legendary sword. According to my instructions, I need to use the sword to kill a variety of creatures so the swing analyzer can collect data on my combat style.
Equip yourself with Grant's Saber and kill six different types of creatures. Creatures that count towards this objective are: ghouls, super mutants, scorched, robots, rats, bugs, etc.
Notes:
- There may be a small delay (up to several seconds) in receiving credit for killing a creature.
- It could be bug but you can use another weapon to kill the creature and then quickly switch to Grant's Saber.
9. Use the Fabricator to make the Blade of Bastet
I found a historic sword and used the swing analyzer to collect data on my combat performance with it. I need to turn it in to the Fabricator so it can reforge the sword into my Blade of Bastet.
Return to Riverside Manor, use the Fabricator Terminal > Fabrication Services > Blade of Bastet.
