This is one of the Enclave events, thanks to which you can get Promotion Commendations needed to complete the main story quest Officer on Deck. This quest awards one commendation.
Build and protect MODUS' automated patrol.

Quest stages of Enclave Event: Bots on Parade
1. Connect MODUS to the Bot-Stop station
MODUS has requested we patch him to a local robot construction station so he can build himself a patrol.
Use Bot-Stop Terminal > Establish External Connection.
2. Standby while the patrollers are constructed
Wait until the robots appear in the capsules.
3. Protect the robots during reprogramming
MODUS has constructed his bots. Now it's up to us to fight off any local creatures while they boot-up.
For three minutes you have to defend the robots that will stand still in their capsules.
4. Eliminate the remaining hostiles (x/y)
The bots are up and running! Now we just need to keep them safe from any remaining trouble.
Eliminate remaining enemies. The robots will help you.
5. (Quest completed)
The Robot Patrol operation is a success! We protected the bots for MODUS!
6. (Quest failed)
We weren't able to complete MODUS' request in time and failed his task.
