To open the chest you need a key. You will find the Ancient Rusted Key in the skeleton which you will find in the adjacent section of underwater ruins.
In the chest you will find Ancient Wax Tablet, Stele Piece from the Underwater Ruins and Rusty Mycenaenan Gauntlets.
