A carpenter who lost his brother to pirates agreed to join the crew and put his skills to use if Alexios rescued his sibling.

He is injured so you have to carry him.
Unfortunately, his wounds will turn out to be too serious and he will die.
The carpenter will be waiting for you on board your ship so you can fast travel there.
If you lie and say that his brother survived and joined the pirates, the carpenter will not believe you and the quest will end in failure. If you tell the truth, he will join your crew.
