Site 2 - Resilience was the second attempt to settle Eos, but it was destroyed by a kett attack. Searching for clues about what the engineers were working on may yield more answers.
This mission will start automatically when you enter the Site 2: Resilience area during the exploration of Eos. Site 2: Resilience is located next to the lake, southwest of Site 1: Promise.

Enter one of the buildings ...
... and activate the power terminal.
Prepare for a hard fight, many kett soldiers and a huge fiend. The fiend can't reach you inside the buildings and on the top roof.
Check the console located in another room.
Site 2 engineers knew they were in desperate circumstances when the kett became aware of their attempts to settle. Engineers tried to research technology that could help them fight the kett, but didn't have time to assemble it before they were attacked. The engineers tried to hide the project's components rather than letting them fall into kett hands. Recovering the components will unlock the project.
The first component is in the same room as the console.

The third component is in the kett base. You can grab it earlier, without a quest,while exploring this area during A Better Beginning mission.
Go back to the Site 2: Resilience base and scan the device.
