This side mission will be made available after the cleansing of the Matsumi Shrine. To start it, talk to the spirit of the gardener whom you will meet near the tree with red leaves.
Akito and KK encounter the spirit of a gardener who tells them about an unusual cherry blossom tree that blooms red out of season. Believing corruption to be the cause, the pair set off to purify the tree.

Objectives of Bloodthirsty Blossoms
1. Examine the red cherry blossom tree / Defeat all enemies
Approach the tree. When you do this then Visitors will emerge and attack you. There will be three waves of them. Get rid of them.
When you kill them all then approach the tree trunk and examine it.
2. Cleanse the cherry blossom tree
Execute the appropriate hand seal to remove the corruption.
When you do this the tree will be cleansed and its leaves will change color.
3. Speak to the gardener
Once again, talk to the gardener. He will thank you for your help and after a while this mission will end and you will receive the rewards provided for its completion.
After completing this mission, you will be able to clear two more trees with red leaves, which can be found in the city. To reach them, however, you must first clear the fog from a large part of the city. Tree locations: Bloodthirsty Blossoms - Mitake and Bloodthirsty Blossoms - Ginpei.
After completing Bloodthirsty Blossoms you will get or will be able to get Bloodthirsty Blossoms - Ginpei.
