Quest stages of The Motherlode
1. Explore Hornwright Industrial HQ
Enter the building and find Reception Terminal on the ground floor > Archived Messages > Archived Message - 9.29.77.
2. Search Penny's office for info about the "Motherlode"
Sound like this Penny Hornwright might be able to help me get to the bottom of this "Motherlode." Maybe if I search her office I can find more information.
Go to the fourth floor and find the Terminal: Penelope Hornwright > Archived Messages > Archived Message - 9.30.77. You will receive Hornwright HR Password.

It seems Hornwright Industrial was working on a project codenamed "The Motherlode" but I'm going to need to need find a Senior Executive ID to find out more. Apparently I might be able to get one from HR.

Go to the third floor and activate Hornwright Hiring System.
Apparently only Senior Executives can print out new ID cards. Great. Maybe there's some way I can trick the system into thinking I'm an exec.

I've got two options to fake my way into a Senior Executive position - turn in a resume to the hiring system or ace the Senior Executive hiring exam. Maybe they've got an old resume on file I could use? Or maybe a list of the exam answers around here somewhere?

5.1.1. Search the company archives for an Executive Resume
Find and use Archival Terminal > Hum[]n Reso[]rces Da[]a[]ase > Res[]me []Penny Hornwright {Sr. Exec[. You will receive Penelope Hornwright Resume.
5.1.2. Deposit the resume in the receptacle
I found the resume of Penny Hornwright, one of the company's executives. I should turn this in to the hiring system.
Activate Resume Receptacle.

5.2. Pass the Hornwright Senior Executive Exam
Use Hiring System Terminal > Senior Executive Hiring Exam > Begin Exam.
- Question 1: Blame the incident on agitators in the local unions.
- Question 2: Blackmail them into providing more information. OR Send it to the media, using the fallout to short their stock.
- Question 3: Dig up dirt on the politician to lower their price.
- Question 4: Offer them lucrative jobs to get them to reveal their identities.
- Question 5: Turn over the details to Hornwright’s top-notch corporate intelligence team.
Process Answers > View Results.
5.2.1. (Optional) Find the answers for the Senior Executive Exam
Take Senior Executive Exam Updates holotape and listen to it.
5.2.2. (Optional) Collect the exam answers from Tech Support
I found the answers to the Senior Executive Exam. Hornwright Industrial's about to have a new employee.
6. Collect your Senior Executive ID
I've gotten myself registered as a Hornwright Senior Executive. Now all I have to do is print myself an ID and then I can get to the bottom of this "Motherlode."
Activate ID Card Printer. You will receive Hornwright Senior Executive ID.
7. Explore the building's upper floor for info on the "Motherlode"
Hornwright Senior Executive ID acquired. Now I should be able to get into the offices on the upper floors.
Use the elevator on the ground floor and go to Hornwright Industrial HQ - Executive Floor.
Find and activate External Connection System.
8. Search the lab for infomation on where to find a Repair Beacon
I spoke to the Motherlode ... I think. It's a robot? It didn't sound like it was in great shape. It asked me to get it a "Repair Beacon." Maybe I can find one nearby.
Use the Research Terminal > Research Notation > Power Struggles.
9. Requisition the repair beacon - Code 36984
I found the requisition code for the repair beacon: 36984. Now I just need to plug it in.
Use the keypad and enter the code 36984.
10. Collect the repair beacon
Seems entering that code issued a "Repair Beacon". Looks like I can pick it up over at the dispenser.
11. Deploy the repair beacon
Repair beacon acquired. It sounds like I'll need to head down the elevator to deploy it to help the Motherlode.
Use the lift in another room and go down to Hornwright Industrial HQ - Sub Level.
Insert the repair beacon into Beacon Launcher.

It appears the Motherlode left me a thank you present for helping to repair it and said it would be in contact in the future. Friendliest drill I've ever met.
