Prerequisites: To play this mission, you must first complete the mission Red Queen.
You will play this mission as Jackson, who has agreed to take part in an experiment that may cure his uncle. It will begin right after Aiden is transported to BrocaTech at the end of the "Red Queen" mission.
Skye Larsen's true motives are revealed. She wants to conduct the first human trial of an experimental technology that uses the BrocaBridge to link minds. It may revive Aiden from his coma...or it could have unknown consequences. Jackson decides to risk it anyway for the sake of helping Aiden.
Jackson enters Aiden's mind and is confronted with the ghosts, regrets and memories that Aiden has carried his entire life. Jackson must find a way to break Aiden out and bring him back, or lose him forever.
Using Skye Larsen's experimental technology, Jackson and Aiden are connected with the BrocaBridge reader. Jackson is inside a projection of Aiden's mind, he needs to find his uncle, and find a way to get Aiden to wake up.
Go forward until you reach the house.
The front door will be locked so follow the path on the right side of the house to the backyard where you will meet Aiden.
He will want you to retrieve his belongings. The first item will be his phone.
Jackson has found Aiden, or some avatar of his uncle. But Aiden doesn’t want to leave with Jackson, not until Jackson helps him find some of his personal belongings.
Enter the house through the back door and examine the paintings pinned to the refrigerator,...
...the photo in one of the rooms...
...and the items lying on the desk.
When you do this, a door will open to a room where you will find Aiden's phone. Take it and go back to Aiden and then he will ask you to find his ball cap.
Aiden has asked Jackson to find more of his belongings, this time his cap. But the house now looks…different. And Jackson can hear the voice of Lena, his dead sister…
Once again enter the house, this time it will look a little different. After a while you should hear your dead sister's voice.
Keep walking forward and further doors will be opening. Follow the trail marked by the pictures painted by Lena. Do not go through the door that leads into the darkness, because then you will return to the beginning. There are definitely other doors nearby.
At some point you will reach a door that will close when you approach it. Go back a bit to the previous door you went through earlier and approach the closed door again. Then the door will reopen and you will be able to go on.
Keep walking forward and eventually you will reach a place where you will notice a sitting person.
When you get closer it will turn out to be your mother - Nicole Pearce. You will talk to her for a while...
...and after that a passage will open up to a place where you will find Aiden's cap.
When you take the cap, another door will open, making the way back to the house and Aiden. Return to Aiden and talk to him. He still won't want to come back with you and the only thing left for you to do is to get another of his items - his coat.
Enter the house again. Again, it will look different. Pull the lever and a platform will come out that will allow you to get to the other side.
Keep walking forward and after a while you will reach a room with four more levers. Pull the two in the middle and then a platforms will slide out allowing you to go further.
Keep walking forward and you will reach another version of the house. Examine the chair in one of the rooms...
...then examine the corpse hanging in another of the rooms.
When you get to another room you will see a looped reconstruction of the events in which Aiden shoots a man.
The Aiden avatar seems to be caught in some kind of metaphorical cycle of endless violence, centered around protecting his family and their home. There must be some way to show him that all the killing and death is hurting his family, not protecting them.
Approach the man Aiden is shooting at and switch places with him when possible.
This will wind the cycle and after a moment you will be able to pick up Aiden's coat from the floor.
Jackson has navigated twisted and painful memories to gather all of Aiden’s belongings. He must confront his uncle for the final time, and somehow convince Aiden to leave with him…to please wake up.
Return to Aiden. Jackson will eventually manage to convince him that he should come back with him.
You will return to the BrocaTech building, where Aiden will regain consciousness.
Skye will suggest that you should leave the building after which this mission will end and you will once again take on the role of Wrench to play the next mission.
After completing this mission, you will be able to play the mission Face 2 Face.
