Spanner In The Works Watch Dogs: Legion Mission

You will receive this mission after you complete the mission "An American In London", that is, you complete enough missions for the resistance. Then Jackson will contact you by radio and tell you what you should do.

Aiden has found himself in the middle of a corporate war between Thomas Rempart, the failson of a French automation empire, and Brocatech, a British AI firm. Rempart wants something called "the BrocaBridge," or Aiden's nephew Jackson will pay the price.

With Jackson's help, Aiden was able to locate Wrench and the BrocaBridge. Now all that's left to do is find him, get the BrocaBridge.

Prior missions

To begin Spanner In The Works you must first complete An American In London.

Quest stages of Spanner In The Works

1. REACH the Rempart Facility / INVESTIGATE the Rempart Facility

Head to TIDIS Advanced Technologies and check out what's going on in the inner courtyard. Just get close enough and you will notice that there has been an incident there caused by robots malfunctioning.

2. ACCESS the Robot Camera Logs

Four locations will be marked on your map where you can find destroyed robots. This time you cannot use a drone, you have to reach them personally. You will find the right clues when you interact with the third (in any order) robot.

Note: A very helpful upgrade for this mission is "AR Shroud" (Allows operative to digitally Shroud a target after a takedown). You can acquire it by completing side mission "Ghost of London".

For example, you can enter the compound from the south side. Hijack the security camera and use the panel and disable the barrier. Then enter the compound, enter the door on the right and climb the stairs to the upper floor.

Take down the three guards watching the area, then inspect the first of the robots.

You will find the second robot in the main room.

Then go to the staircase on the other side of the main room, go down the stairs to the lower level and examine the robot you find there. This should be enough to find another clue.

3. ACCESS the Camera Log Server

Aiden needs to find Wrench in order to get the BrocaBridge, which he can exchange for the safety of his nephew Jackson.

Wrench has just attacked a Rempart-controlled Tidis building, and Aiden is investigating the crime scene for clues as to Wrench's location. The destroyed robots seem to upload recordings to a central database. One of them might have gotten a look at Wrench, or where he's going. Aiden should hack that database to find out.

The server is located in a room that is near where the first robot from this walkthrough was located, which means you have to go back to the other side of the building. To enter the room you will need a key. You can download it from the tablet that is located in the main room and you can do this using one of the security cameras.

Once you get the key you will be able to enter the room and get access to the computer.

Unfortunately, it will turn out to be a trap that Wrench has set for Rempart and you will get locked in this room.

4. USE the Multidrone to DISABLE Security / ESCAPE the Area

Aiden hacked the Tidis database to find out if one of the wrecked robots got a look at Wrench, but Wrench left a trap there instead, locking Aiden in. Now he has to find a way to escape, and get back on Wrench's trail.

Call up the multidrone, use it to go outside through a small hole,...

...fly to a higher level and through another hole get to the security system server.

Paying attention not to be seen by a nearby guard, deactivate the system.

Once you've done that, you'll be able to switch back to Aiden and leave the restricted area, for example the same way you got here. Once you're safe, Jackson will analyze the footage and tell you where to go.

5. GO TO Brixton

With Jackson's help, Aiden has determined that Wrench's hideout is somewhere in Brixton. The BrocaBridge is bound to be nearby. Jackson can help Aiden narrow it down even more once he's in the area.

Head to Windrush Square. When you get there, Jackson will tell you how you can find Wrench...

...and a gauge will appear on your screen showing the distance to the place you need to go.

6. LOCATE the Signal Source

Head east to a place called Brixton Barrier Block. I personally used a cargo drone, which I was able to call in nearby. This allowed me to go straight to my destination.

When you get there, you will find out that Rempart has managed to capture Jackson, of which he will inform you. He will thus force you to continue your task to find Wrench and retrieve the BrocaBridge for him.

7. HACK the ctOS Hub at Brixton Barrier Block

Aiden has to track down a piece of tech called the BrocaBridge for Thomas Rempart, an aviation and robotics magnate, or his nephew Jackson's life is forfeit.

Aiden has arrived in Brixton, where he believes Wrench's hideout to be. The BrocaBridge should be somewhere inside. Jackson can pinpoint the location if Aiden hacks the local ctOS hub.

The server you need to access is located in a building in the northeastern part of the complex.

You can get there, for example, through the gate on the south side. Be prepared to face a few enemies on your way there. It is best to get rid of them quietly.

When you reach the server and hack it then you will learn the location of the entrance to Wrench's hideout.

8. NEUTRALISE the Security Drones / ENTER Wrench's Safehouse

Aiden has reluctantly agreed to acquire a piece of technology called the BrocaBridge for a billionaire robotics magnate called Thomas Rempart in exchange for his nephew's safety.

Aiden has found Wrench's safehouse. Now the only thing left to do is confront him and get the BrocaBridge back.

Wrench will contact you by radio and try to convince you to change your plans. He won't succeed and after a while a few enemy drones will appear in the area, such as kamikaze drones, that will want to eliminate you. Before you can pay Wrench a visit you will have to destroy them all. Also watch out for explosive spiderbots that may appear and be prepared to be attacked by clan members.

Once all drones are down, go to Wrench's hideout.

When you enter Wrench's hideout, Aiden will force Wrench to hand him the BrocaBridge. Wrench will try to convince Aiden to change his plans, he will pull off his mask and reveal his face and one of his secrets, but even that he will not be able to convince Aiden. Aiden will leave Wrench's hideout with BrocaBridge and this mission will end.

After completing Spanner In The Works you will get or will be able to get Dark Pattern.
