Last Rites is the first main quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The quest begins during the siege of Suchdol. The player's task, who controls Godwin, is to help repel the attack.
Godwin and the other defenders of Suchdol have to hold out until Henry and Samuel bring reinforcements.
The Praguers destroyed our bridge with a trebuchet shot, but the battle is just getting started. I have to help defend the ramparts! I'm needed on the front wall, that means going up the stairs beside the main gate.
When you gain control of your character, run up the stairs that you should see in front of you to the top of the ramparts.
We mustn't let the Praguers take the front ramparts and main gate. At them!
When you run up the ramparts, walk up to the slot in the walls and start shooting the enemies below.
After a while, when a group of attackers heads for the gate, you will be requested to return to the courtyard and help defend the gate.
Enemy troops in heavy armour have made it to the gate and are trying to smash the portcullis. I have to join the defenders in the courtyard and stop them!
Take the stairs down to the courtyard, join the soldiers standing in front of the gate and start shooting at the enemies on the other side of the portcullis.
After a while an explosion will occur and the enemies will be defeated.
The defenders on the side rampart are tiring. I should go and help them first.
Follow the soldier who will head to the other side of the courtyard, run after him up the stairs to the tower, reach the floor above and run out through the door to the ramparts.
If we want to stop the Praguers' onslaught, we have to fend off all the siege ladders!
The ladder you need to push is located roughly halfway along the ramparts so head towards it. If you have enemies in your way, get rid of them. To fend off the ladder, you must first knock down the enemies on it. Wait until they climb up and then attack them.
After pushing off the ladder, a cutscene will start. This quest will end and the next one - Easy Riders - will begin.
