Shock Therapy Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Quest

Suggested level: 24

Group: Secondary Quests

Location: Skellige

To start this quest, talk to the Druid near the Gedyneith signpost on Ard Skellig. He'll ask you to help his friend get his voice back. In return, he will offer you a Gwent card.

Though druids have gained fame worldwide as outstanding healers, even with all their spells and elixirs they at times prove powerless against diseases. Such was the case with Egill - a druid who had lost his voice. His friend decided that, since traditional methods had failed, it was time to try newer, more innovative approaches. It fell to Geralt to test them.

Quest stages of Shock Therapy

1. Go visit Egill. / Help Egill recover his voice by giving him a scare. / Keep trying to scare the druid until he recovers his voice. 1/3

Egill is a few steps away, he's a taciturn druid. You can try to talk to him, but it won't work. To achieve your goal, do the following:

When Egill sits on a stone, use the aard sign to destroy the wasp's nest.

Go visit Egill. / Help Egill recover his voice by giving him a scare. / Keep trying to scare the druid until he recovers his voice. 1/3

When Egill stands by the fire, put it out.

Go visit Egill. / Help Egill recover his voice by giving him a scare. / Keep trying to scare the druid until he recovers his voice. 1/3

When Egill lies down, use the aard sign to hit the pots.

Go visit Egill. / Help Egill recover his voice by giving him a scare. / Keep trying to scare the druid until he recovers his voice. 1/3

Thanks to Geralt's efforts, Egill did indeed speak once more - in order to give Geralt a thorough tongue lashing. It turned out the druid had not lost his voice due to illness, but had sworn a vow of silence for religious reasons. Instead of helping a man to recover, it seemed Geralt had taken part in a rather awful practical joke.

2. Return to the druid who gave you the task.

Go back to the druid and no matter what you say to him, you'll get the card he promised - Iorveth.

Return to the druid who gave you the task.
