Type: 404 Mission
Prerequisites: To play this mission, you must first complete the mission 404 Not Found.
This mission begins immediately after completing the "404 Not Found" mission. You decide to check out the house where Skye Larsen lived.
DedSec has completed some contracts for the hacktivist network known as 404. The leader of the 404, Nowt, has one big contract in mind: the tech billionaire Skye Larsen. But what makes her so dangerous and why does Nowt want her dead? DedSec must see for themselves.
Find Larsen's Westminster mansion and explore the property to learn more.
Wernicke House
London
Go to Wernicke House. It's a restricted area. The house is guarded by one soldier. Try to remotely hack the door of the house and then a network bypass puzzle will be revealed that you will have to solve.
To get a good view of the whole puzzle, you can take control of the security camera on the neighboring house (east side). The puzzle has one complication. One of the nodes will return to its original position after a few seconds, so you will have a limited amount of time to unlock the next two locked nodes. Fortunately you can switch this "bad node" many times so it won't be such a big problem.
To access the property through the back entrance you must obtain a key. You can download it from the guard tower by using the security camera. You can also jump over the fence from the adjacent property.
Get rid of the guard, for example by ambushing him from behind and enter the building.
DedSec has entered the home of this generation's greatest mind. Nowt believes Skye Larsen is dangerous and needs to be killed. Take a look around to find out why.
When you go inside you will be greeted by the artificial intelligence that runs the house, which will think you are Skye Larsen. Go up the stairs to the upper floor and use the terminal you will find in the room there. This will unlock access to the elevator.
Then approach the elevator and use it to go down to the lab in the basement,...
...which looks like a garden!
To get inside the building located in the garden you need a key. Head to the gazebo standing in the garden and pick up the wristband you find there. There is a code written on it which is the key you need.
After opening the door, you will enter the living room. As you explore the house you will see reconstructions depicting what Skye did to her mother. To complete this quest you don't have to collect all the relics in the house, but it is best to do so because that way you will complete the "Magpie" achievement / trophy faster.
The door to the basement will be closed but you can take the relic lying on the fireplace. It will be a Cracked Trophy.
Then go to the kitchen adjacent to the living room. There you will find another relic pinned to the refrigerator - Child's Drawing.
Through another door you can go from the kitchen to the garage. There you will find another relic - Dog Collar, and a machine. When you use this machine you will be able to go to the upper floor of the house where two of the three doors will unlock.
In one of the rooms, the one closer to the stairs, you will find two relics - Photograph of Skye and Sinead and Handwritten Note.
In the second of the rooms, the mother's bedroom, you will see another reconstruction and be able to take the relic - Case of Sedatives. When you do this it will unlock a door leading to the basement. Go downstairs.
In the basement lab you will see another reconstruction and find two relics, Get Well Card...
...and Tablet.
After collecting all of the above relics, the third room located on the upper floor should unlock. When you go there you will be able to collect one more relic - Photograph of Skye and ???.
Skye Larsen's lab contains her deep dark secret: she makes her innovative AI by uploading human brains and reducing their sentient minds to thoughtless programs. Her own dying mother has been forced to live forever as the AI that controls the house. And now she wants to talk to DedSec.
When you have seen all the reconstructions you will be able to enter a small room with an AI computer that controls the house. There you will watch a video log from which you will learn that this artificial intelligence is actually Skye's mother.
AI will ask you to end her suffering. In return, it promises to tell you where you can find Skye.
Approach the computer and deactivate the AI.
Return to the elevator you took downstairs and go upstairs. You will meet Nowt. You will talk for a while about what you have achieved and what to do next. Your character will go outside, this mission will end and you will receive another one - "Into the Void".
After completing this mission, you will be able to play the mission Into the Void.
