Mission objectives of The Firefighters

1. Speak with Dr. Aridana

2. Run the equations at SAM Node on Ark Hyperion

Dr. Aridana has asked you to insert a series of complex equations into SAM Node.

3. Help SAM

You need to reset three panels in the right order.

5. Confront Dr. Aridana at the Nexus tech labs

6. Look for anti-AI activity on the Nexus

7. ON HOLD: Wait for an email from Knight

A group of anti-AI hackers attacked SAM Node with a virus. They believe their sabotage attempt worked; use their trust to investigate the hackers' base of operations.

You will receive an email, when you are able to visit Kadara.

8. Look for an email from Knight

Look for the email "[Error 982: Carrier signal interrupted!] - Invitation" from Unknown sender.

I must be brief, but: I hear my virus was a success and SAM is disconnected. Excellent news!

We should talk in person. I've enclosed the navpoint for our sanctuary on Kadara. The virus was only a first step: you could be a strong ally in future efforts.

9. Go to the hackers' sanctuary on Kadara

10. Optional: Find a discreet way to learn Knight's plan

Talk to Alain, he is in the next room. Ask him about his condition.

10.1. Optional: Build a curative device for Alain at a Research Center

Go back and talk to Alain again. He will thank you and he will mention something about "Mercury", that's enough for you.

11. Optional: Scan the sanctuary for clues

You can scan objects inside the building but the second scan will cause the hackers to become hostile.

(BUG?) I was able to scan all objects without triggering aggro.

13. Locate Knight's devices (x3)

You need to find three EMP devices.

13.1. Locate EMP devices in the Commons Area

The suitcase is hidden behind a flower pot, next to the entrance to The Vortex.

13.2. Locate EMP devices in Operations

One of the suitcases is next to the security terminal.

Another one is behind the console in the Colonial Affairs.

14. Confront Knight

Knight is waiting for you in the Common area - Upper floor.

You need to choose: "You'll die for this" (Knight dies) or "Alain is cured" (peacefull ending, available if you cured Alain using the Cybernetic Device).
