Through the Wringer Far Cry New Dawn Mission

Group: Story Missions - Act 2 (New Alliances)

This mission will appear in your journal when you receive radio call from the Twins some time after completing the Homecoming mission.

The Twins want to make an example out of you. They've taken hostages, and the only way to save them is to step through their twisted setups.

Prior missions

To begin Through the Wringer you must first complete Homecoming.

3. TURN ON the breaker to let the hostages escape (1 min 30 secs)

You have one and a half minutes to complete this task. The "breaker" that you need to turn on is the keypad on the door where the trapped hostages are. In order to do it you need a keycard. Climb up a bit and find a corpse. In his hand you will find the keycard you need.

Return to the door and unlock the keypad.

4. LIBERATE the hostages

The first group of hostages is free, but you have to save another four. You will have three minutes for this.

5. FIND and DEFUSE the bombs 0/4 (3 mins)

A group of bandits will try to prevent you from completing this task.

The first hostage is located on the ground floor of the main building in a locked room. The keycard that allows you to open the door to this room hangs on the bulletin board next to the door. Take the keycard, open the door, go inside and disarm the bomb.

The second hostage is in a smaller side building (road side).

The next hostage is outside, in a small shed at the back. To be able to enter this building, you must first get rid of the tractor blocking the entrance. You can blow it up with the dynamite or repair it (Repair Torch perk required) and drive it forward a little bit. Then you just need to take the keycard hanging next to the door, unlock the door, get inside and disarm the bomb.

The last hostage can be found in one of the containers located on the north-west side.

6. DEFUSE the bombs (2 mins)

Return to the ground level of the main building. Doors to the basement that were previously locked are now unlocked. Go downstairs.

In the basement you will find four switches and four lamps. You have to switch the four switches in the correct order.

When you use the first correct switch, the first green lamp will light up. Use another switch. If it is correct, the next green lamp will light up and so on. If you used the wrong switch, the red lamp will light up and you will have to start from the beginning, but the combination remains the same.

In my case it was combination 3412. (1 is the left switch and 4 is the right switch), but it can be different for different players (it's different after checkpoint reload).

The best weapon for this task is the sniper rifle. If you don't have one with you, you will find one next to the wall right after leaving the basement.

Go outside and find three hostages on high towers. You must shoot at the yellow padlocks on the chains with which they are tied. You must be careful not to shoot hostages! You cannot climb near hostages because if you do so, the explosives around them will explode. For better "shooting conditions" you can climb the tower of the main building.

When you drop your weapons you will enter the building where the Twins and Rush will be waiting for you.

10. TALK to Kim

After the cutscenes you will be moved back to Prosperity. Talk to Kim to end this mission.

If you haven't done the Now That’s Entertainment mission yet, then you will have to do it now in order to be able to receive the next misison - Inside Job.

After completing Through the Wringer you will get or will be able to get Inside Job (1 of 2).
