They used to call me Marcus Miles. Now, I'm the Beast o' the Sea. I've discovered that Queen Justinia - ruler of the dwarven kingdom, and my own cousin - seeks to crush rising dissent by way of a plan called Operation Downfall. I can find out more from a dwarf called Lohar in the village of Driftwood, presuming I escape the Magisters' clutches.

Quest stages of The Beast o' the Sea
1. Killed Lohar
Lohar was a snake in the grass if ever I met one. He's dead, now - an appropriate fate for Queen Justinia's slavish lackey.
2. Believed Lohar
Lohar insists he's turned against Queen Justinia - but entrepeneurs like him never reveal information without a price. I'll do what he asks... for now.
3. Believed Lohar Arx
Lohar is clearly loyal to Queen Justinia no longer, and says I must do all I can to stop her from getting her hands on that Deathfog. I've got to get to Arx before that shipment arrives.
4. Washed Ashore
The longer I tarry in Fort Joy, the closer the Queen comes to executing her mysterious plans. I'll chat up some fellow dwarves; someone must have an idea of how to break out of here.
5. Duggan Met
A dwarf called Duggan recognised me in the Sanctuary of Amadia. He knows Lohar, and confirmed he does business in the village of Driftwood. And that business isn't on the up-and-up, by the sounds of things.
6. Caravan Lohar
A panicking dwarf on Reaper's Coast told me I can find Lohar in Effie's Emporium, underneath the Black Bull - a tavern, by the sounds of it.
7. R C Start
I've reached Reaper's Coast. Driftwood isn't far. It's time I found Lohar and had a word with him; if anyone knows what Operation Downfall entails, it's him.
8. Lost Hat
My bicorne Fran has gone missing, presumable washed out to sea. My poor hat. At least my beard remains intact!
9. Got Hat
Fran the bicorne is right back where she belongs! She's just a little... soggy, is all.
10. Questioning Assassin
I found Lohar in Effie's Emporium in Driftwood, and interrupted in the midst of an interrogation. He says he is no longer helping Queen Justinia in her operations, but wants to stop her. I should talk to him further.
11. Shipment To Arx
The Peackeeper's cargo has been shipped to the city of Arx. If I want to stop Operation Downfall, my next destination is all too clear.
12. Shipmeant Death Fog
The Peacemaker was transporting Deathfog. The stuff is beyond deadly; what in the blazes are Justinia and her goons up to?
13. Hannag Letter
I found a letter in the Wrecker Cave, seemingly destined for a certain Hannag. It mentioned that a Deathfog Delivery Device had been recovered and was being repaired.
14. To Arx2
Queen Justinia's operation involves the deployment of Deathfog. I must travel to Arx and stop this madness!
15. To Arx1
Justinia is having Deathfog shipped to Arx as part of Operation Downfall. My heart is heavy; whatever the queen's plans, they are more insidious than I ever would have thought.
16. Act3 Start
My search for the truth about Queen Justinia's plans has led me to the city of Arx. The city is surely lousy with her agents - and the queen herself might not be far off.
17. Act3 Start Lohar Unfinished
I have arrived in Arx. People from all races have come to celebrate Lucian's Day; perhaps I might find a new lead regarding Operation Downfall.
18. Peacemakers Crates
I have learned there's a large cache of Deathfog hidden in the sewers beneath Arx.
19. Isbeil B R
I discovered that Queen Justinia's advisor Isbeil is a Black Ring agent. It seems the God King has been pulling the strings.
20. Isbeil Queen Encounter
I never imagined Justinia could be party to an atrocity so heinous as to release Deathfog into an entire city. Yet this was her plan all along: throw the Divine Order into disarray with the genocide of Arx. To her, it seemed inevitable that they would turn their forces against her throne eventually - she wanted to strike first.
21. Assassination Attempt
Perhaps she was weak; perhaps she was malevolent. In either case, my cousin, Queen Justinia, was a traitor, leaving behind a legacy of pain and a kingdom starved for a proper ruler.
22. Resolved
Queen Justinia may have been weak - but her intentions were fair, if flawed. She is now free of Isbeil's influence, and free to return to the kingdom. I hope, with all sincerity, that she does right by our people.
23. Met Carson
I stumbled upon a childhood friend in the Fort Joy Arena by the name of Carson. He gave me a key that unlocks one of the prison's doors. Now, I just need to figure out which one.
24. Carson Key
I entered the Fort Joy prison using the key Carson gave to me. Freedom is near; I can feel it!
25. Met Duna
I had a vision of the Hall of Echoes, one far too like those I had when exiled to the Isle of Mists. I met the God Duna there, or at least, a spirit claiming to be him. He said I was Godwoken - someone with great Source powers lying dormant within myself - and that I am to be his champion if I wish to see my people free from Justinia's tyranny. I was told that I must escape from Reaper's Eye first of all, and was warned to not trust other Godwoken in the long term. Finally, I received a power from my god - the power to Bless.
26. Duna Hat
Apparently, it was the god Duna that found my hat and thought to return it. Does he think to buy my loyalty?
27. Chose To Ascend
I ascended to become the next Divine of Rivellon. May I be a true servant of the people.
28. Chose Source4 All
Instead of ascending to become Divine, I chose to share divinity with all of Rivellon. May no more harm be done in the name of Source.
29. Chose Companion Divine
Instead of ascending to become Divine, I chose to support my companion's bid for ascension. May they do right by my people - and all of Rivellon.
30. Chose Lucian
Instead of ascending to become Divine, I chose to support Lucian. May he do right by my people - and all of Rivellon.
31. Chose God King
The God King ascended to divinity. I can't help but feel I've made a terrible mistake...
32. Chose Demon
A demon has risen - and divinity is shared between the light and the dark. I can't help but feel I've made a terrible mistake...
33. C O S Deathfog Letter
I found a letter written by Isbeil, Justinia's Advisor - one that details a large shipment of Deathfog to Arx. She refers to Justinia as a puppet; it seems the Gods King's influence has reached dwarven royalty.
