I remember the day I came up with the idea of guides4gamers.com. It was a day when I had struggled to succeed on World of Warcraft. A friend of mine, William K, was watching me play. I knew he was an avid player so I knew he would have a comment once my session was complete. Well … not only did he have a comment, but he spent the remainder of the night explaining what I was doing wrong and how to improve. His advice ended up turning me into one of the best players in town – as well as beyond town. This experience led to an idea. If a player of that caliber could help me out so much, why couldn’t other players of that caliber help out millions of average players around the world – regardless of the game? This is how I came up with guides4gamers.com.
My first order of business was to hire my friend William K. Without him helping me out that night, I never would have gotten this project off the ground. After hiring William K, we went out prospecting, but not for gold or money. We were prospecting for the best of the best in every game. We knew where to go and how to get in touch with them. Once we offered these incredibly advanced players a real job for giving advice on the game they loved the most, they jumped on board in an instant. At the present time, we have 26 different video game experts working for us. Every single one of them is an expert on one game and one game only. This allows them to master one game instead of being spread too thin.
